The superstar singer-songwriter and mother of three shows off a decisive moment on the cover

Final steps (1, 2) Ciara to iconic status? Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Landing for 2022.

The superstar joins tycoon Kim Kardashian, model and activist May Musk, and rising industry star Yumi Nu as part of this year's cover class.

Ciara, 36, went to Barbados to have Ben Watts take it for the photo. On the cover, she's swinging in crystal blue water, wearing a sexy leopard print bustier-style by LaQuan Smith and a straw hat.

"The journey we've taken - to get out of the shape the world places us in - may sound familiar. She certainly is familiar with the women we chose to be our cover models: May, Ciara, Yumi, Kim," said MJ Day, editor-in-chief of SI Swimsuit. In a statement. "Kiara has had great success as a player and is focused on her passion for philanthropy and service." Ciara's husband, Russell Wilson, wrote a sweet tribute to his wife as part of this year's cover story, revealing how she is a beacon of positivity.

"My wife does that. She inspires people because she connects with them. She tilts the room up when she enters it. "Maybe it was an interaction with a fan where she offered to take a selfie together before fans could ask. Or it could be a much more serious situation. I remember our first visit to Seattle Children's Hospital when the mother of a sick boy was held for five minutes without letting go. 

The couple, who have been married since 2016, are parents to a 19-month-old son, Win Harrison, a 4-year-old daughter, Sienna Princess, and a 7-year-old son, Future Zahir, whom Ciara shares with ex-Future. Wilson, who was introduced as Denver quarterback. In March, the new Broncos added that the cover of the SI Swimsuit marked an item on his wife's list of interests.

"As you can probably see, I'm so proud of my wife. And now that she's on the SI Swimsuit cover, that's something else to be proud of," he said. "I know that's what she's always wanted.
