China's foreign minister Wang Yi attacks the US by saying that they have been infected by "political virus".

The world is aware of the war of words countries resorted to when it came to questions on the origin of the coronavirus & the spread of the same globally. The US has been clear on calling China the one responsible for the spread of the virus. However, on Sunday at a news press conference, the foreign minister of China, Wang Yi attacked the US by saying that the country is pushing relations with China to “the brink of a new Cold War”.

He also rejected the "lies" that the US placed for them, saying that Beijing was ready for finding its source & put an effort internationally. He further told the reporters at the week-long parliamentary session in China that the country was open to identifying the source of the virus with international cooperation but also emphasized saying that any investigation must be “free of political interference”. He further said that the political forces in the US have stigmatized China by labelling the virus & politicising its origins.

Calling out the US saying that a "political virus has infected them", Wang said, “To our regret, in addition to the raging of the new coronavirus, a political virus is also spreading in the US which is to take every chance to attack & discredit China. Some politicians completely disregard basic facts and have fabricated too many lies targeting China, and plotted too many conspiracies.”

Wang further told reporters that the global pandemic affected China too amongst other countries & had also offered assistance to other governments in need.

Since the beginning of the spread of the virus, Donald Trump, the US President blamed China for its initial response to the global health emergency, which today has led to over 3,40,000 deaths worldwide. On the criticisms faced by China & those who would like to bring lawsuits against the country, Wang also said that they are "living in a daydream and will humiliate themselves."
