China retaliates against the US and EU as trade disputes intensify.

Amid escalating trade tensions, China has initiated an anti-dumping investigation targeting imports of a widely used plastic from the US, EU, Taiwan, and Japan.

 The probe focuses on polyoxymethylene copolymer, an essential component in electronics and automobiles, signaling China's retaliatory stance in its trade disputes with the US and Europe.

 This move follows a recent increase in tariffs by Washington on Chinese goods, including electric vehicles (EVs), solar panels, and computer chips, further expanding on previous tariffs imposed during the Trump administration.

In response, China's commerce ministry expressed concerns over the impact on bilateral cooperation and criticized the politicization of economic issues.

 Meanwhile, China's foreign ministry spokesperson vowed to take necessary measures to protect the country's legitimate rights and interests ahead of anticipated announcements from the White House.
