Bobby Brown has the best reaction to an influencer who went viral for Negative Jones Road Beauty Review
"I always love to learn new makeup techniques, and today I'm learning them," the celebrity makeup artist said as she dabbed two large scoops of foundation.
Bobby Brown applause!
Celebrity makeup artists – and founders of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and Jones Road – gleefully respond to influential negative reviews of What The Foundation (WTF) Jone Road tinting moisturizer.
It all started earlier this month when beauty influencer Meredith Duxbury posted a video on TikTok - which garnered more than 1.5 million likes - criticizing the product while smearing an ample amount onto her face with her hands. Later in the video, she tries to smooth the base with a blender and a beauty brush.
"It smells solid," said Ducksbury.
"We only realized it then. I'd like it that way," he added. When viewers criticized Duxbury's technology, calling it "too much product," Brown posted his response via TikTok on Monday.
In the video, Brown, who founded Jones Road in 2020 after leaving the eponymous brand, says, "I always enjoy learning new makeup techniques, and today I learned them."
"I'm not sure it will work, but I'll try," said Brown. Even though Brown didn't mention Duxbury by name, he did start applying foundation with his finger just like influencers do.
A Duxbury representative did not immediately respond to news request for further comment.
As of Tuesday, Brown's video had garnered more than 600,000 views and received more than 100,000 likes.
Brown then shared a video explaining the purpose of the product.
"There seems to be some confusion about what kind of coverage you get from What the Foundation," he says in the video below.
