Bob Saggett: American actor and comedian found dead aged 65

American actor and comedian Bob Saget, best known for his role in the sitcom Full House, has died at 65, his family tell. The actor was unavailable Sunday by staff in his room at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

Officials from the Orange County Sheriff's Office arrived after a phone call from hotel staff and declared him dead at the scene. The exact details of his death remain unsure. But in a brief statement posted on Twitter, the sheriff's office said detectives found no sign of gambling or drug use during the initial investigation.

"We are devastated to confirm that our beloved Bob passed away today," the family said in a statement. "He is everything to us, and we want you to know how much he loves his fans, performing live and making people from all walks of life laugh."

Saget, a seasoned stand-up comedian, has just embarked on a new comedy tour of the United States and most recently performed in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday. After the show, he expressed his joy at returning to the stage in a post on his Instagram page, telling fans that he was "very addicted" to his craft.

"I'm back in comedy like I did when I was 26 years old. I think I found my new voice, and I love every moment of it," he said.

Although revered by many comedians for his lewd acts and often suppressed, Sagett is best known in the United States for his role on the sitcom "Full House," He starred with actor John Stamos and fellow comedian Dave Collier.

He received applause for his role as Danny Tanner, a widowed father of three daughters who played the position from 1987 to 1995. John Stamos, who worked with Saget at Full House and Fuller House, said he was "heartbroken" at the news of his friend's death.
