Azerbaijani Governor Slapped: A Man On Stage Smacked The Governor Of Azerbaijan, Iran.

A few moments later, a stranger came on stage and slapped the governor. Security forces then picked up the assailant and pushed him out through the side door. Khorram then returned to the stage again.

Khorram does not know the attacker.

Khorram told those present that he did not know the attacker. "When I was in Syria, she used to come and beat me up ten times a day," Khorram added. More than 10 times they even held a pistol to my head. I treat the attacker just like those enemies, but I forgive him.

Khorram was abducted in Syria.

According to media reports, Abedin Khorram has been in the Parliamentary Revolutionary Guard. He was abducted along with 48 other Iranians by rebel forces in Syria in 2013. Abedin Khorram was appointed governor on October 17 by President Ibrahim Raisi.
