Are you planning an expedition to the UAE, Singapore, or Kuwait from India?

Travelers from India will visit Singapore, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Kuwait, as both countries have relaxed travel restrictions. In addition, Singapore Airlines (SIA) has announced that fully vaccinated passengers flying to Singapore on VTL flights from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai beginning tomorrow will reduce their travel history requirement from 14 to 7 days.

"From February 22, 2022 (Singapore time), fully vaccinated passengers traveling to Singapore on VTL flights from Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai can adhere to the new relaxations," SIA said in a statement. In addition, the required travel history will be reduced from 14 to 7 days.

In addition, "VTL passengers will no longer be required to take an on-arrival Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test at Changi Airport beginning February 22. Instead, they will be demanded to undergo a supervised self-swab Antigen Rapid Test (ART) at any of Singapore's test centers within 24 hours of arrival, "It stated. Upon arrival in Singapore, visitors will be given a testing notice linked to book tests.

If the above ART test is negative, no further ART/PCR tests are required during the patient's stay in Singapore. The new VTL entry and testing requirements in Singapore follow the government's announcement last month that exempted VTL travelers from all testing requirements if they had recently recovered from COVID-19 and could provide appropriate documentary proof of their recovery.

Meanwhile, the UAE has updated its travel guidelines for Indian visitors. Passengers who have completed the full vaccination time of both doses in India are exempt from RT-PCR testing before departure from the UAE for travel to India.

On arrival, Every passenger will be subjected to thermal screening and, if symptomatic, will be treated according to protocol.

Following the lead of the UAE, another gulf country, Kuwait, has announced some relaxation for people traveling from India to Kuwait. According to the new guidelines, passengers with valid travel documents (except for visas on arrival in Kuwait) can enter the country regardless of their vaccination status.
