Apple has ceased selling its products through the Apple Store in Russia. The firm revealed its conclusion on Tuesday after Russia started its attack on Ukraine earlier week, and as other Western companies are increasingly cutting relations with the nation.


All Apple products on the firm's online Russian storefront are listed as "unavailable" for buy or delivery in the nation. Apple doesn't operate any physical Apple shops in Russia.


Apple also stated on Tuesday that it had fired Russian state-controlled outlets RT News and Sputnik News from its App Store around the globe besides for Russia.


"We have taken several measures in reaction to the attack. We have paused all product deals in Russia. The previous week, we blocked all exports into our deals channel in the nation. Apple Pay and other assistance have been restricted. RT News and Sputnik News are no longer accessible for download from the App Store beyond Russia. And we have sabotaged both traffic and live happenings in Apple Maps in Ukraine as security and preventive measure for Ukrainian residents," an Apple representative told CNBC in a statement.


Apple's suspension of deals in Russia on Tuesday emphasizes American firms' challenges during the Russian attack on Ukraine. 


Firms face challenges with logistics, the falling value of the Russian ruble, and bringing Russian clients to pay after Western credit card services were restrained in the nation.
