Ahmedabad: Man held for trick over 20 people in the name of the duplicate offers.

Police said the accused worked in a whole gang and has been booked in three familiar offences in Ahmedabad. One more accused, Shailesh Pajapati, the brother-in-law of Dhiraj, is already in jail for a similar offence.


Ahmedabad The Cyber Crime Cell of Police apprehended a 33-year-old man from Bharuch city for duping as many as 20 victims of lakhs of rupees to offer free sewing machines under a duplicate offers. The accused has been associated with Dhiraj Prajapati, a resident of Bharuch.


“The police recently collect a complaint from this from the victim in Ahmedabad, who informed the police that he recently received a message on his WhatsApp from an unknown number where a photo of an electronic sewing machine and a phone number was noted. Calling the phone number, the victim of offences was told that the sewing machines are living given free to mechanic under a Prime Minister’s order scheme, which the candidate has to apply by saying they're all the bank details.




The accused further putting that to avail the machine free of cost, and the candidate must have a bank account in Kalupur collaborative Bank in Ahmedabad. Behind the victim shared his banking details, an amount of Rs 20,000 was subtracted,” said the official of the Police Cyber Crime Cell Ahmedabad.


Police said the accused worked in a gang and has been booked in three similar offences in Ahmedabad. “Another accused, Shailesh Prajapati, the brother-in-law of Dhiraj, is already in jail for a similar offence. We interrogated him and using technical surveillance, a team picked up Dhiraj from his residence in Lal Bazar area of Bharuch,” said police.
