Following her upcoming holiday rom-com, the Mean Girls actress, 35, has signed a deal with Netflix to star in 2 more films. Later this year, Netflix will release the film Falling for Christmas.
"We've had a great time working with Lindsay so far, and we're excited to continue working with her. We hope to bring more of her films to our members around the world in the future, "Netflix's director of independent film, Christina Rogers, said in a statement.
"The world 1st fell in love with Lindsay Lohan when she played a pair of twins — and Netflix is again offering the world twice the Lindsay to love via creative partnership that will witness her star in 2 new films!" Netflix wrote in a tweet Tuesday, referring to the star's dual roles in 1998's The Parent Trap.
Lohan stars as a newly engaged hotel heiress who suffers from amnesia after a skiing accident in Falling for Christmas. During the days leading up to Christmas, she is placed in the care of a blue-collar lodge owner (played by Glee's Chord Overstreet) and his daughter.
Last month, Lohan spoke to PEOPLE about her Planet Fitness Super Bowl commercial, which mocks her past.
"It was liberating to finally put my past behind me and share how I am living my life today," she said.
The actress revealed that her wedding plans are going "great! It's an exciting time," after announcing her engagement to Bader Shammas in November.
