A$AP Rocky 1st photo after release from jail, covered by police

On Wednesday, the rapper, expecting his first child with Rihanna, was arrested at Los Angeles International Airport.

The "Praise the Lord" rapper, 33, was photographed leaving a Los Angeles jail on Wednesday evening after being arrested upon arrival at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with a shooting in November 2021.

The rapper was escorted out of the Los Angeles Police Department headquarters in Downtown Los Angeles by police officers and legal representatives.

Rocky was dressed casually in an oversized polo, shorts, and sneakers for his vacation.

Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, had just arrived at LAX on a private plane from Barbados, where he'd been vacationing with pregnant girlfriend Rihanna, when the LAPD detained him.

Rocky has been charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon (firearm). According to court records, his bail was set at $550,000. According to the LAPD, Rocky fired a gun at an acquaintance after an argument on November 6 in Hollywood.

According to the LAPD, Rocky and two other males fled on foot after the shooting. For his minor injuries, the victim sought medical attention. Rocky and Rihanna, 34, announced in January that they were expecting their first child together, with the "Diamonds" singer showing off her growing baby bump in a series of photos while out and about in Harlem with the rapper.

A source told news shortly after the photos went viral that Rihanna is "excited to be a mom" and "couldn't be happier."

"She was never interested in having a baby, but being with Rocky opened her up to the idea," a source said. "She enjoys all of the changes to her body during pregnancy and has always celebrated pregnant women in her Fenty runway shows."
