Snapchat launches ‘Here for You’ feature to help users overcome anxiety and depression.

According to Naveen Kumar, trustee of Manas Foundation, this feature is a new opportunity for people who are struggling with mental health problems every day.

Social media platform Snapchat on Monday announced in-app mental health support for Indian users.  Under it, the company has launched the ‘Here for You’ feature.

The company has launched this feature to take care of the mental health of the users as people are currently suffering from depression due to coronavirus. With the help of this feature, users will be able to improve their mental health by watching motivational videos. 


The ‘Here for You’ feature was launched in February, according to Jennifer Park Stout, vice president of global public policy at Snap Inc., a company owned by Snapchat.

For the Snapchat users will find resources for the ‘Here for You’ feature when searching for words related to anxiety, depression, suicide and general mental health in the search bar. It covers a wide range to topics like, how to deal with mental health problems, how to identify a family member suffering from mental illness. It also provides guidance to users' questions by clinical psychologists and mental health professionals.
