A new Uber "Explore" feature declared Tuesday would let users book dinner reservations, show tickets, and other occasions straight through the Uber app.

This modification reveals the ride-hailing app's strategy to grow beyond rides to create new income streams. The firm heavily funded its Uber Eats grocery, beverage, and convenient delivery assistance during the outbreak, and that feature persists in outperforming ride-hailing. 

For instance, the delivery income of $2.42 billion topped the $2.28 billion forged by its core ride-hailing business.

This recent feature, Uber Explore, will emerge as a new tab in the Uber app. Users can buy tickets with their Uber Wallet or a credit card.

The Explore tab will show types, including food and drink, art and culture, nightlife, music, and concerts, and deliver personalized offers based on where Users have traveled in history. With the "ride there now" function, users can reserve a ride to the destination they just bought.
