Stevie J. regrets his past behavior towards his estranged wife, Faith Evans. While sharing a post on Instagram about Mother's Day on Sunday, the Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta star publicly apologized to Evans, 48, for his past actions against her.

"Faith Rene Jordan, I hurt you; I disrespected you and humiliated you in front of the whole world," he began, captioning a photo of a couple in clever winter coats standing next to a Jeep.

"From today onwards, I promise to listen to your feelings and be more careful with my heart," he continued. "I also promise to lift you even more and communicate, respect, and love you every day until you are as happy as when we got married." Stevie, 50, ended his apology with the words: "I have learned my lesson, also I NEVER want to live without you because God knows I am a better person with you, and I ask you to find in your heart to forgive me and let me lose my trust, rebuild."

"Happy Mother's Day x. I love you," he added. The Grammy Award winner filed for divorce from Evans last November after three years of marriage.

Due to court documents obtained by news in December, Evans asked the court to reject Stevie's request for spousal support during their ongoing divorce.

In addition, Evans also requested that his pre-marital and post-wedding assets be retained, including "all property acquired before the marriage, as a gift, inheritance or theoretical, and after the date of separation." Meanwhile, Evans has yet to seek Steve's support. The document also says the couple has been separated since May 29, 2020 (Evans was arrested this month on domestic violence charges against her husband, though the charges were later dropped).

Representatives for Stevie and Evans did not immediately respond to news request for comment.
