It is very surreal to know and learn about people who are driven by their pure passion and dedication to making it huge in their respective fields. All these individuals, especially youngsters, have tried to utilize every opportunity that has come their way and leverage the opportunities to gain great experiences and implement their learnings in the artform. The world of entertainment can never get enough of the talents that are born each day; however, the ones that go ahead to make a mark in the competitive industry are the ones that go beyond boundaries, challenge themselves and create their unique name in the industry as an actor, performer and artist. We had the good fortune to interview one such rising artist from the entertainment world; he is Mithil Jain.

Where do you hail from and tell us about your background?

Well, I am a Mumbaikar, born and brought up in this city, which is known as the city of dreams and true in my case as I got to do what I always loved.

Go on, tell us more.

I did my graduation from HR College in Commerce, Mumbai. While in school I was just another naughty kid and did not pay much attention to the abilities or skills I could hone during that time, so it wouldn't be wrong to say I did not have a list of achievements as a school kid.

So, when did your encounter with acting happened? Please throw some light on the same.

My college life was entirely different from what I lived as a school kid. In college, I got introduced to the world of acting and did many one-act plays throughout those five magical years. I received many awards and accolades for my work and won many Best Actor awards for my performances and plays.

Which was your first show as a television actor and how do you choose roles?

It was in 'JAB LOVE HUA' on Zee TV, which helped me gain great recognition within the industry and otherwise, which really upped my confidence to take up the roles of my choice. I am a very picky person when it comes to deciding on which shows to do or characters to play. However, I choose the best for myself and God has also been kind enough to let me make my choices.

Any actors that you gain inspiration from in the industry?

Yes, of course, I love Sanjeev Kumar, Om Puri and Irrfan Khan. I have just loved the body of work they have done in the industry with all the roles they have portrayed on screen. And, amongst the actresses, I have always loved and adored Sridevi, Madhuri Dixit, and Vidya Balan's work. In the TV industry as well, Ronit Roy and Ram Kapoor have stood out for me with their choice of roles and work.

How was 2020 for you?

My 2020 was very creative; I learnt many household chores and took care of my baby boy. I spent time with my family and enjoyed every moment with them. 

Any upcoming projects?

I am looking out for great roles that will excite and interest me as an actor. I can't wait to be back on set and do what I do the best.
