COVID-19 India: PM Narendra Modi does meeting with FM Sitharaman and HM Amit Shah.

Pm Modi does special Meeting with the Finance, Home and other economic ministers, for discussing second economic stimulus package and to carry the migrants across India.

A day after the extension of lockdown with some relaxations, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held meetings with Home minister Amit Shah, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and ministers of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), sources reported. 


This Meeting aimed to discuss second stimulus package for sectors which are struck due to Pandemic in entire India. We might see a big box for them.


As we all know a few days back, PM Modi announced that lockdown is extended till 17th May, and the government has decided to carry migrants to their native places. Yesterday, six trains were run by the government to send the migrants from different parts of India. 


The stranded residents will be returned to their home states by starting more ‘Shramik Special’ trains. 


On Saturday morning, a special train left for Lucknow from Nashik carrying 847 migrant workers. The Gujarat Government has decided to run two ‘Shramik Special’ trains from Surat to Orissa and From Ahmedabad to Uttar Pradesh. Kerala also is scheduled to run two special trains carrying the stranded migrants to Jharkhand.  

 

The Centre extended the lockdown nationwide, due to the Pandemic of Coronavirus by two weeks, starting 4th May. This lockdown has lightened some restrictions and divided districts in three different zones, namely Red, Orange and Green Zones. 


The number of positive Covid-19 cases has crossed the 37100 mark, taking the tally to 37780. The death toll rose to 1225, while 10025 patients recovered. 

 

The country faces an uphill task to manage the financial stability and healthiness of the nation as it is in strict lockdown since 25th March 2020.
