Since the time authorities have requested people all over the nation to come forward & extend their support in whatever way possible through PM Cares & other relief fund initiatives to help Coronavirus patients & others affected due to the pandemic, many people & celebrities are coming ahead to extend their support for the same. One of the many celebs who have lent support to the authorities is Shahrukh Khan & wife Gauri Khan who have offered their 4 storey office space to the BMC for using it as a quarantine space.

Earlier, Shahrukh & Gauri Khan had even pledged to donate to 7 fund initiatives which included the PM Cares fund, the Maharashtra Chief Minister Relief Fund, Working People’s Charter, Ek Saath — The Earth Foundation & Roti Foundation among other initiatives.

After the actor & his wife pledged to offer their office space for extending the quarantine capacity, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Saturday took to Twitter to thank the couple & wrote, "We thank @iamsrk & @gaurikhan for offering their 4-storey personal office space to help expand our Quarantine capacity equipped with essentials for quarantined children, women & elderly. Indeed a thoughtful & timely gesture!"

Retweeting BMC's tweet, Shahrukh Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment wrote, “Support makes everyone stronger. And in our fight against COVID-19, we need each other’s support as a society. Let’s help each other more, and win this fight collectively!” Moreover, the actor's IPL team 'Kolkata Knight Riders' along with Meer Foundation also came forward to extend their support & commit to joining hands with the Maharashtra & West Bengal governments to supply 50,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits to the country’s healthcare warriors.

Other celebrities have also shown their support in the country's fight against COVID-19 & have donated their bit. This includes Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone & Ranveer Singh who donated to the PM Cares fund, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli also donated to the initiatives, Salman Khan donated to help 25,000 daily wagers & many others also pledged to help the country in the fight against the virus.
