Ariana DeBoss feels right at home on Andrew Garfield's lap in the audience during a delightful performance at the 2022 Tony Awards.

After her first Oscar win also Tony Awards as a presenter, Ariana DeBose went on a successful "tour"!

The actress-singer performed a delightfully acclaimed musical number during Tony's Sunday night in 2022 and communicated with members of the crowd added Andrew Garfield. He looked embarrassed from his seat in the audience when 31-year-old DeBois approached him.

"I'm close to you, oh so close to you / I'm touching you, there's not much you can do," he said, punching Garfield, 38, in the face, who laughed.

She then felt right at home in his lap as he hugged her, and she continued to sing, "I'm sitting over you (because what they say is true) / Because we can't escape the audience! While DeBoss and Garfield have never appeared in any projects together -sama, they have at least two critical things in common: They're both Oscar nominees of the year and have connections to the Spider-Man universe.

The latest film will follow Sergei Kravinoff / Craven (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson), Spider-Man's nemesis known for his tracking and hunting skills.

Alongside the Craven hunter, DeBose will star in the space thriller I.S.S. along with Chris Messina and the spy film Argyll starring Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Brian Cranston, Catherine O'Hara, John Cena, and Samuel L. Jackson. Speaking to PEOPLE ahead of his guest at Tony's this week as a presenter, DeBoss said his mother Gina, partner Sue Maku and best friend Jonathan Cobrda would attend the show to cheer them on.

"Miss Gina will be there! My best friend Jonathan Cobrda, [who] was on my prom date, did everything," the actress said. "My partner will be home too. He designed the costume for number one."

DeBose adds, "He's a very talented costume designer. I'm looking forward to his work being shown on stage."

All three were available when DeBoss won an Oscar for her role as Steven Spielberg's Anita in West Side Story earlier this year. His mother was the first to hug him before taking the stage to collect his award, while Cobra and Maku applauded the audience.
