Tech giant Apple always is on a lookout for upgrading new technologies or offering something new to their customers. And keeping a focus on the same Apple yet again launches a new virtual acoustic system for MacBooks. History also talks about how the company has been consistent enough in bringing in new technologies especially for audio on its devices.

The tech giant now reveals that it is trying out different ways for breaking the audio signals into multiple paths to make an audio impression such that the sound does not seem to come from speakers but from different areas. The patent got registered in 2018 & got published by the United Patent and Trademark Office.

‘Patently Apple’ describes this new acoustic system from Apple as something that enhances the experience of music listeners & also improves the experience of watching-movies on the laptop. It describes how the new virtual signal processing technology enhances movie watching experiences, sports event, video games or any other screen viewing experience that adds to the feeling of "being there".

The company says that this new technology cancels out crosstalk from overlapping soundwaves & makes a person feel that the audio comes from a different space & not from the speakers. The company also stated regarding the same that the processing of audio happens in a way that it appears to come from "elsewhere in an indoor-outdoor space rather than directly coming from a loudspeaker.” 

 In November last year Apple also developed other technologies like granting a patent for headphones making Siri & phone calls more natural. This way the company shows how they are opening up gates for bringing in new virtual audio technologies to more Apple devices like MacBook Pro, iPhone & iPad.

HomePod, a smart speaker another new audio technology developed by Apple shows advanced audio technologies like 3D audio system & beamforming tech. Apple also launched the 16-inch MacBook Pro in November last year, which claims to have high fidelity sound system & six speakers.
