It's an expression Athing Mu said she considered at the Tokyo Olympics. Following her exhibition in the ladies 800 meters, she should get it reserved. 

The 19-year-old wonder won the 800-meter last, crossing the line in 1:55.21 to break the American record. She drove for the whole race. Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain ran in 1:55.88 to put second, and American Raevyn Rogers balanced the best three, completing in 1:56.81. 

With the triumph, Mu joined Madeline Manning-Mims as the lone two American ladies to win Olympic gold in the 800 meters. Monitoring Mims achieved the accomplishment 53 years prior at the 1968 Mexico City Olympics. 

"Coming here, I accompanied a decoration attitude," Mu said. "I came here needing a medal." Mu's mindset was evident through the passing rounds and in the last. She completed every one of the three races quickly in the lead position.

 

"I came here with getting a decoration," Mu said. "That has been one of my objectives since after NCAAs."Mu's Olympic gold is a fantastic accomplishment in an astounding, unprecedented Olympic-style sports season for the result of Trenton, New Jersey. She broke the university 400-and 800-meter records as a green bean at Texas A&M, turned star at U.S. preliminaries, won the 800 meters, and followed that up with a beautiful gold-decoration execution at the Tokyo Olympics. 

"She's an extraordinary individual, and very gifted," American men's 800-meter sprinter Clayton Murphy said. "It's loads of enjoyable to perceive what she's doing. She's a unique individual, and it's loads of enjoyable to watch her content." 

Mu is only the subsequent American to win an Olympic-style sports gold decoration up to this point at the Tokyo Olympics. Valarie Allman won a gold decoration on the lady's plate on Monday.
