Ezra Miller's career as Flash in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) appears to be in jeopardy following several scandals he courted in Hawaii recently. According to sources, the upper management of Warner Brothers, which owns DC, does not want the negative press around the star to impact the movie. Thus any future projects with him have been put on hold. Ezra was arrested and freed on bail in Hawaii last week on harassment and disorderly behavior allegations.

The actor is most identified for his role as Flash in the DC Extended Universe, in which he originally appeared in Justice League (2017). He will star in The Flash, his solo picture, released in June 2023. With Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, who played Batman and Superman, respectively, out of the DCEU, Ezra, along with Gal Gadot, was tasked with being the franchise's staple for the time being. However, the future remains uncertain at this time.

According to Rolling Stone, WB officials had an emergency meeting following the star's sensational arrest. "The concurrence in the room was to pause all future ventures featuring Miller, including possible appearances in the DC Cinematic Universe," according to the report.

After a scuffle in a pub on March 27-28, Ezra was detained. Ezra yelled obscenities and lunged at a person playing darts, according to the Hawaii Police Department. He was later bailed on $500 bail (roughly $37,978). A judge ordered the star to stay away from a married couple he was staying with within Hawaii a few days later. According to reports, Ezra allegedly threatened them with physical assault and seized their paperwork, including passports and wallets.

However, this isn't the first time Ezra has stirred up controversy. In 2020, a video surfaced on the internet in which Ezra seemed to choke a woman in an Icelandic bar. According to Variety, it was a serious confrontation at the pub, which cited a source. Ezra was later taken off the premises, according to the report.
