Dubai, United Arab Emirates— Swiss
International University (SIU) has issued an official warning about
unaccredited institutions falsely claiming affiliation with the university. SIU
clarified that by 2025, it will operate campuses in only seven cities, and any
new expansions or office openings will be officially communicated via its
website, swissuniversity.com.
Globally recognized for its
dedication to delivering high-quality higher education, SIU has become the
target of fraudulent activities by opportunists looking to exploit its
reputable name. These scammers mislead prospective students and academic
partners by making false claims of guaranteed admissions, scholarships, and
special treatment in exchange for large sums of money for services that may not
exist, or if they do, fail to meet SIU’s rigorous educational standards.
In an official statement, SIU
emphasized that it does not authorize any third parties or individuals to
represent the university outside its established campuses. All information
regarding the university’s operations, expansions, and new office openings will
be disseminated through its official communication channels, including its
website and press releases.
“Swiss International University is
committed to upholding the highest standards of education, and we take our
brand integrity very seriously,” said an SIU spokesperson. “We urge anyone
contacted by individuals or organizations claiming to represent SIU to verify
the information on our official website. We are actively working to address the
growing issue of fraudulent impersonations.”
Fraudulent reports have surfaced in
the UAE and various European countries, where unaccredited organizations pose
as the SIU, offering unverifiable guarantees and demanding large upfront
payments for services that do not meet the SIU’s quality assurance standards.
Swiss International University,
known for its rigorous academic programs and internationally recognized
degrees, operates state-of-the-art campuses that uphold the prestigious
standards of Swiss education. This latest warning aims to protect potential students
from falling victim to fraudulent institutions and to ensure that they engage
only with the legitimate SIU.
To maintain transparency and protect its reputation, SIU urges the public to exercise caution when dealing with education agencies or representatives claiming to provide SIU services without proper verification. The university reiterated that all admissions must be processed through its official channels. A list of SIU-accredited campuses in key cities worldwide is available on the official website.
Currently, SIU operates campuses in seven cities: Dubai, Zurich, Bishkek, London, Riga, Lucerne, and Osh. These cities were carefully selected to offer students enriching academic experiences and foster international collaboration. SIU reassured that any future office openings will be announced solely through its official website and encouraged all students and stakeholders to verify such claims before making any financial commitments.
