magnitude 7.2 occurred at the same place. which
was concentrated at a depth of 10 km
underground in Taitung.

Earthquake Network Center said strong tremors were felt in coastal areas
including Fujian, Guangdong and Shanghai. Roads and bridges have collapsed in
many places in Taiwan. The train is rolling on the track like a toy. Taiwan's
meteorological department said the epicenter was seven kilometers inland near
the city of Chinshan. According to the Taiwan Central News Agency, the
earthquake caused the collapse of a three-story building near the city of Yuli,
containing seven to 11 shops and people living on the
upper floors.
