In the wee hours of Wednesday, two burglars carrying knives broke into Tottenham Hotspur footballer, Dele Alli's home in north London and robbed him at knife-point. They ran away with valuables worth hundreds of thousands of pounds.
British media reported that
Alli also got minor injuries as a result of a scuffle between himself and the
two knife-wielding men. The Burglars broke into his home and threatened him and
his adopted brother, Harry Hickford, at knife-point. The Police issued a statement
which said, "Police were called at approximately 00:35 hrs. on Wednesday,
13 May to reports of a robbery at a residential address in Barnet. Two males
gained entry to the property and stole items of jewellery, including watches,
before fleeing."

The England play-maker Dele
Alli's girlfriend along with his brother's girlfriend & another friend was
also in the house at the time of the break-in. Sources reported that at the
time of the incident, the occupants were playing cards. Adding further, the Police
said, Two male occupants at the property suffered minor facial injuries
after being assaulted. They did not require hospital treatment. No arrests;
inquiries into the circumstances continue. Dele Alli and his friends were
horrified by the incident; the 24-year-old took to Twitter to thank his fans
for their immense support & wrote, "Thank You for all the messages.
Horrible experience but we are all okay now. Appreciate the support."
The Police investigation
continues and no arrests have been made, yet. Spurs midfielder is due to start
training next week as the Premier League targets to resume the league behind
closed doors from 12th or 19th June. Reportedly, the first Friday Night fixture
on Sky Sports will be at Spurs' home against Manchester United.
