Southern superstar Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa' earns Rs 45 crore in the opening day

Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and Rashmika Manda's starrer film 'Pushpa: The Rise Star' has got the biggest opening so far in the coronal period. The film has an opening collection of Rs 45 crore. The movie has acquired a good response from viewers and critics. Released at 50% occupancy, the film was expected to gross Rs 30-35 crore on the first day. 

The largest opening in Corona

  • Pushpa: 45 crores
  • Master: 34.80 crores
  • Spider-Man: No Way Home: 32.67 Crores
  • Suryavanshi: 26 crores

The opening collection of the Southern film released during the Corona period has been good. Released on January 13, 'Master' grossed Rs 34.80 crore on the first day. Rajinikanth's movie 'Annathe' was released on November 4. The film also collected Rs 34.70 crore on the first day. Mohanlal's 'Mercury: Lion of the Arabian Sea' also earned Rs 6 crore on the first day.

'Pushpa' based on illegal business

'Pushpa The Rise Star' is directed by Sukumar. The film is based on the illicit trade in sandalwood. Pushpa Raj (Allu Arjun) gets involved in this business rather than work in the movie. In this film, Rashmika is Manda's laborer's daughter. He loves Pushpa Raj.
