Amid increasing Covid-19 cases, especially of Omicron; the Centre has now revised new norms for international passengers coming to the country through airways. Here are the guidelines that international passengers need to follow after their arrivals in India.

  • All international inbound passengers will now have to quarantine for a week at their home.

  • Covid test is mandatory on the 8th day.

  • For flights from non-risk countries, 2% of the passengers will be randomly tested on their arrival.

  • The government also expanded the list of “at-risk” countries. It now includes the UK, South Africa, Brazil, Botswana, China, Ghana, Mauritius, New Zealand, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Hongkong, Israel, Congo, Ethiopia, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Nigeria, Tunisia and Zambia. All passengers from these countries will be tested on arrival.

  • The rules are effective from 11th January.

The government has also asked all the travellers to submit complete and factual information in self-declaration form online. Here is the link for the self-declaration form that you need to fill before the scheduled travel, including last 14 days travel details: https://www.newdelhiairport.in/airsuvidha/apho-registration . The name of the portal is Air Suvidha Portal. You have to upload a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR report. Remember, the test should have been conducted within 72 hours prior to undertaking the journey.
