Plane shakes landing in high winds: Pilots make sensible cross-wind landings, UK incident

A plane had to land in extremely dangerous conditions amid bad weather in the UK on Wednesday. Earlier the pilot had to face great difficulties to land the plane. A video of this incident has surfaced. In which the Aurigay ATR72-600 plane can be seen waving in the sky amid strong winds. The pilot later landed the plane sideways at Bristol Airport.

The plane was attempting to land at Bristol Airport when rain and strong winds caused the plane to wobble. Due to which the pilot had to face difficulty in landing. Even after reaching the runway, the plane could not stabilize. But the pilot landed the plane after a few seconds with his own technology. Pilots are highly appreciated.

A yellow warning was issued for rain and thunderstorms

It is being reported that thunderstorms, rain and high winds have created dangerous conditions at airports in the UK. When the plane was landing, a strong wind blew at a speed of 44 kilometers per hour. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert. A yellow alert for rain was issued for southern Scotland from 10am to 6pm and Northern Ireland from 8am to 3pm.

What is a cross wind?

A strong wind that blows perpendicular to the direction of flight of the aircraft is called a cross wind. Due to this wind, the plane stalls on the runway during landing and there is a danger of a major accident. Normally, in such situations, the aircraft does not land, only an emergency or low fuel landing.
