Each star is named after a well-known celebrity in the entertainment industry. Fans and past co-stars have reacted positively to Paul's election to the Walk of Fame.

The picks were announced on Friday by radio presenter Ellen K, leader of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce's Walk of Fame selection panel, according to Variety. 

The honorees were chosen from hundreds of people nominated for a star by the selection panel, which is made up of people who already have stars on the Walk of Fame. The Chamber's board of directors accepted its choices on Wednesday.

Paul Walker, Uma Thurman, Christopher "Ludacris" Bridges, Jon Favreau, Mindy Kaling, Bill Pullman, Vince Vaughn, John Waters, Martin Lawrence, Ralph Macchio, Garrett Morris, and Ellen Pompeo will all get their stars affixed in 2023.

Paul died in an automobile accident in 2013 when his vehicle collided with a lamp post. Roger Rodas, who was driving, was also killed. Paul is most recognized for his role as Brian O'Conner in the Fast and Furious franchise, which he has played for over 30 years.

Jordana Brewster, who plays his wife in the Fast and Furious movies, tweeted an old photo of Paul from the shoot with the caption, "You are going to receive your star." It will never stop shining. The class of 2023 on the Hollywood Walk of Fame." Many followers flocked to social media to express their disappointment, saying it was "too late but well-deserved."
