TMC MP and actress Nusrat Jahan gave birth to a son on August 26, 2021. The actress' pregnancy has been the subject of much controversy, as Nusrat was separated from her husband Nikhil Jain even before the pregnancy. Nikhil also said that he had no information about Nusrat's pregnancy. In such a situation, there was speculation about the name of the father of Nusrat's child.

According to a document filed with the Kolkata Municipal Corporation, the father's name is Debashis Dasgupta, the official name of actor Yash Dasgupta. It has become clear that Nusrat Jahan's son's father's name is Yash Dasgupta. So far, there has been the only speculation on Yash Dasgupta's name, but now it has been confirmed that Yash Dasgupta and Nusrat Jahan are in a relationship with whom they have a child.

Yash gave the news to the public after the birth of his son. At the same time, information was provided about the health of Nusrat and the child. 

According to the Turkish Marriage Regulation, Nikhil and Nusrat were married in Turkey on June 19, 2019. Shortly after the marriage, Nusrat and Nikhil separated. However, the two have not yet divorced. Nusrat said her marriage was not legally valid, and therefore there was no question of getting a divorce. Nikhil said the child was not his.
