Recently, Aalia Siddiqui - wife of the marvellous actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, sent him a legal notice to "end the marriage". Speaking with Bollywood Life, Aalia revealed why she seeks divorce. She said, "Problems had begun long before, but I wasn't bringing them forward. I was trying to solve these issues, waiting for them to get better. I finally had to take this decision." Accusing Nawazuddin's family of mental and physical torture, Aalia said, "Nawaz had never raised his hands on me, but the shouting and arguments had become unbearable. But his family has mentally and physically tortured me a lot. His brother had even hit me." 

Aalia revealed that these kinds of instances have been happening in the family and at close observation, it feels like a trend. She states, "I have been bearing a lot for too many years. His first wife had also left him for this reason. It's a pattern. There are already seven cases registered by the wives of their house against them, and four divorces have taken place. This is the fifth one. It's a pattern in his family. You conceal a lot to avoid embarrassment before others, but how much you can take in love." 

Aalia admitted that the decision to go for a divorce was a very hard one and yet she feels it is the right one. Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui left for his hometown, Budhana with his family to celebrate Eid and is now in-home quarantine. Aalia had sent him the notice before he left for Muzaffarpur, and as there was no reply from his side, she was forced to take a legal route.
