Ms. Amin, who has rheumatoid arthritis, said the race, which saw the winner receive a £250,000 investment from Lord Alan Sugar, was "physically demanding." Ahead of the series, daycare owner Bradford said he wanted to be a "living role model" for Asian women.
He said the decision to leave was "difficult." His departure means 13 entrepreneurs are still running to become Lord Sugar's next business partner. Speaking at Thursday's event, the mother-of-five said: "Due to medical reasons, as this process is so physically demanding, despite the best efforts of the entire team to support me, I had to make the difficult decision to exit the competition process.
"I want to say thank you very much for this opportunity. Baroness Karen Brady and former competition winner Tim Campbell have joined Lord Sugar (center) for this year's competition.
Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disorder that causes pain, swelling, and stiffness in the joints, usually affecting the hands, feet, and wrists. Amin, 41, added that "being a woman of color in a hijab" means she understands the challenges faced by Asian women. The 1st episode of the new series was watched by 4.6 million people, making it the most popular show launch of 2017.
