Following the coverage, the charity Guide Dogs has had a document number of applications to volunteer, with greater than 4,500 people coming forward.
Before the pandemic there were about 5,000 guide pet dog collaborations-now there are 3,695. Greater than one in 5 people who had a guide pet before after that now do not.
