Hope for good rains after the second week of August

Manorama Mohanty, director of the meteorological department, told reporters that the cloudy weather in Gujarat would remain the same. In the next five days, Ahmedabad, Dahod, Mahisagar, Panchmahal, Dang, Narmada, Navsari, Tapi, Valsad, Surat, Bharuch, Aravalli, Amreli, Bhavnagar, Gir Somnath, Diu, and other districts are likely to receive average rainfall for the next five days. Good rains are expected after the second week of August.

Gujarat receives good rainfall in July and August. But in July this year, Gujarat received an average of 35.37 percent rainfall. In July 2020, 42.23 percent rainfall was recorded. Gujarat has acquired 36.09 percent rainfall till August 5 this year. On August 5, 2020, 44.79 percent rainfall was recorded. There is less rainfall this year as compared to last year. The average rainfall in Gujarat is 36.09 percent. Gujarat is still receiving 41% less rainfall.
